In it’s markets, the Company is a leading provider of loans and credit lines to customers with strong credit histories. Loans are offered online as well as through certain distribution partners. Due to the rapid growth of the company and the introduction of new products, we are looking for an experienced candidate for the position of:

Credit Risk Manager
(Warsaw)

Responsibilities:

  • Working in conjunction with local Credit Managers as well as the hub credit team, responsibility for the processes, rules, models, decisions and automated systems across the credit risk lifecycle in the group to control fine balance between risk appetite and growth for e-commerce channel;
  • Focusing on the details, noticing key trends and patterns across the risk landscape and quickly acting upon them, getting a real buzz from recommending and implementing new strategies and approaches to further support customer growth;
  • Building and constantly optimizing customer onboarding, ensuring smooth customer journey with as little fraction as possible in order to create customer’s satisfaction, increase portfolio profitability and meet cooperating partners’ demands;
  • Taking a test and learn approach towards the governance and development of credit processes and activities, being quick to tighten, relax or challenge credit and arrears management controls where they are not in support of the business strategy as key to growth is constant evolution;
  • Sharing best practices when it comes to credit management across the group, keeping in mind some local exceptions may be required to achieve desired results;
  • Maintaining and ensuring effective reporting on the credit in place;
  • Caring about the business; monitoring and reviewing processes and policies to protect the organisation from fraud and risk and to identify ways to further drive growth and reduce wastage;
  • Building great relationships with key partners, working with stakeholders;
  • Putting customer experience and innovation at the heart of the business processes;
  • Looking for economies of scale and opportunities to reduce waste, whilst not impacting the customer experience.

Requirements:

  • Having an attitude of ‘Why not! Let’s do it’;
  • High level ability to interpret complex performance data; identify and deliver priority actions; evaluate the impact and risks of change;
  • Analytical skills;
  • Creativity and an aptitude for problem solving;
  • Hands-on approach;
  • University Degree (Math/Economics/Statistics would be a plus);
  • Ability to create reports from database (using Python or R as examples) would be a plus;
  • Breadth of knowledge across the Consumer Credit arena, with key focus on e-commerce;
  • Thorough knowledge of analytics, credit scoring, credit systems and processes;
  • Understanding and demonstrable application of the basic principles of credit scoring;
  • Fraud management (ideally within a digital environment);
  • Experience in processes and credit management in digital lending in e-commerce segment;
  • Experience with online credit risk policies and credit risk rules, including design of credit scorecards;
  • Experience of successfully implementing credit risk systems;
  • Experience of identifying and building strong relationships with effective partners / suppliers in the area of credit risk and fraud (credit bureaus, etc);
  • Working with SAS (Statistical Analytics System) would be a plus;
  • Exposure to working in an international business that works cross-culturally;

Fluency in English is a must.
